Did you also spend hours as a kid pretending to be Kareena Kapoor, specifically Poo, or are you (not) normal? As someone who loves movies and makeup, Bollyglow’s aesthetic was right up my alley. From the fresh-faced shy girl look to what I like to refer to as the “Desi Girl” look, they’ve got makeup for every mood (or character) you’re feeling at the moment.
Their liner and kajal duos are all the drama you’d need in a bunch of shades like the classic black, purple, and even gold. The eyeshadow palettes are gorgeous shimmery tones with names like “Award Night”, “On Set” and “Behind The Scenes”. The liquid and matte lipsticks are super pigmented and are also available as sets so you can try a bunch of different colours (and save a little money.)
Let’s talk base. The Filmi Foundation has a matte finish so it’s better suited for combination to oily skin tones but I loved the shade names “Biscuit” and “Chai”. And to put the ‘glow’ in Bollyglow, their strobe liquid highlighter is like a spotlight on your face, all day long.
