What Makes It Awesome?

Hidden in the lanes of Shahpur Jat - this cafe is run by a sibling duo of brother and sister which started just a few months back.

Bonheur is a small cosy cafe which one can easily miss if ain't aware of the place seats at max 15-20 people with the open kitchen, nice decor and the friendly owners happy to share their love for food with everyone.
The cafe embraces the philosophy of suitability, organic and healthy ingredients - which is pretty evident in the limited set of mostly french menu items; not taking away anything from them for it.

We started with some baked beetroot and quinoa salad with the apple cinnamon dressing - the beetroot was in a puree and mixed with quinoa and apple cinnamon dressing with a little drizzle of lemon juice was a nice break from the regular beetroot salads we are so used to.

Margarita tartine made on a slice of sourdough with housemade pesto, confit heirloom tomatoes and fresh bocconcini were baked to perfection and were my favourite.

Tortellini (all pasta is housemade) which were stuffed with ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes was served in arrabbiata sauce and baked slice a baguette with pesto and olive oil; scooped up all the sauce left using the baguette.

Dessert was a platter of vegan cheesecake, chocolate fudge brownie and blueberry pie - a sweet end to the lunch.

Overall the food from salad to main was very promising and thoroughly enjoyed a lazy winter lunch with some modern European cuisine.
