Food Styling and Fusion with Bottoms Up in Punjabi Bagh

Punjabi Bagh's got a new gastropub, combining the three things people in this city love most - alcohol, good food, and multiple levels catering to different tastes. A two-tiered establishment, they have a restaurant and bar on both the ground and the terrace level - the ground being for meals and conversation, while the latter transforms into a lively space on weekends and evenings {especially when a live gig is in progress}.

As for their menu, they've got quite a few intriguing options. Salads stuffed in roomali rotis, Mac n Cheese lamb koftas, and test-tube {might we add, colourful!} shots of alcohol, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. They've combined flavours that may seem odd, but actually work well together, and then upped the ante with the slightly unexpected {albeit fun!} presentation. We're digging their twist on things.

Their interiors are fairly minimal - we've got old-fashioned barrels and the ever-so-popular Edison light bulbs that cast the entire place in a warm glow. Not too bright, and not dingy; just the right balance.

They haven't been open long, but their food, entertainment and service speaks for itself, and we've heard rave reviews. A plus point - if you still need convincing - it's barely 5 minutes from the Punjabi Bagh Club. We've made our case, and they'll make theirs too; just give them a chance.
