Shortcut

An expansive café and bar that pops out of nowhere, Café Tangerine & Salt at the Good Earth Complex in Gurgaon has a huge menu, massive portion sizes and a good selection of wines.

Marathon menu

Portion size is a matter of perception but in this case, the portions could easily feed an adult and a half. The desserts however could be larger and need a makeover, but after a huge meal that traverses across Morocco, Lebanon, Italy {seriously, they have a huge menu too} they can be forgiven.

For my belly

This is the place to score affordable Pork Belly, perhaps not the standard of fine dining restaurants, but they do a good job of it. The Lebanese Mezze platter is ideal for a round of drinks with friends—the dips are exceptionally well made. For a spice fix, the Prawn a la Plancha makes for a good starter, while the slightly confusing, but fairly delicious, Middle East inspired Biryani is a good main course. Save the pastas and pizzas for your second visit, or try the host of burgers and sandwiches with tank-sized mason jars of cold coffee.

All day fun

Café Tangerine & Salt fills the gap of a family café combined with a youthful lounge. The experience can start at breakfast and end with a slew of wines and cocktails late into the evening. The interiors flow effortlessly from a vaguely Moroccan vibe to a bright and bustling bar with number plates that are a tad absurd, but do ask about them; once you know, they look pretty cool!
