We’ve already told you about Preeti Varma’s furniture, and it would seem like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Meet Saloni Varma, the first person we turned to when we were looking for a gorgeous house in Delhi.

In her house, you’ll find bright, intense, happy colours, mixed with things that are whimsical and out of the ordinary; a melange of things that she’s collected over the years. A stellar graphic designer, illustrator and creative visualiser herself, she and her mother built most of the furniture in the house; she herself designed the kitchen tiles, lamps and works of art that hang around the house.

The work desk, dining table and side table, crockery cupboard in the dining room, beds in both rooms, the kitchen tiles, the library, the bar, bedside tables, her ‘mouse pad’ and her Buddhist butsudaan {prayer altar} were all designed and executed by Saloni and her mother.

The cushions, crockery and flowers were bought from Good Earth, the white unicorn from Wishing Chair, the beautiful elephant blind material from Jim Thompson, upholstery from Cottons & Satin, rugs from Dilli Haat, the tiles for the lamps were bought from Keramos, and the antique mirror from Calcutta. The amazing sky sofa was designed by Saloni.

You can contact her on the number below, if you’re looking to do up your home. Saloni also recommends visiting Good Earth, Wishing Chair, Pure, Nicobar, Preeti Varma’s furniture and The Shop.
