Shortcut

Ice Bakery has been making waves in the city; there’s no way you haven’t come across their massive billboards. Whereas the bakery itself is a fraction of the size of these, the menu is a sweet spread of waffles, home-made gelato, macarons, cakes and an insane amount of toppings for them all.

So Many Waffles

We were excited to see that they’ve got waffles in a bunch of variants including maple, mango puree, peanut butter and our favourite – cinnamon butter. Choose from two sizes {go with the double, the single is super tiny} and a range of topping such as whipped cream, marshmallow, caramel popcorn {yum!}, Oreos, Nutellas and nuts.

Each waffles comes with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream but if we were you, we’d pay extra and opt for one of their more exciting Gelato flavours – salted caramel, After Eight or maybe even bubblegum. The waffles are crunchy and just the right amount of sweet.

Anything Else?

Not in the mood for waffles? We’re going to refrain from judging you and direct you to their other offerings – their macarons are pretty good {we liked the salted caramel the most followed by the chocolate mint}, date and fig cake and red velvet jar. They have some interesting shakes too, including a Parle G cheesecake one. Let us know how it is if you try it.

And Nutella enthusiasts, you can stock up while you’re here, they keep mini jars, regular-sized jars and Nutella Go {Nutella with sticks – makes for a great snack on the go}.

So, We're Saying...

If you’re in the mood for something sweet on-the-go, Ice Bakery’s your place. We do wish they had a few savoury options though.

PS: It only opens at 2pm but remains open till midnight.
