Summer is upon us {and how!}, and if you’re bored with drinking the same old whisky soda, vodka tonic and beer, this is the guide for you.

We got you five drinks you can transform in four or less ingredients. How about trying out these tricks of the trade, and sprucing up a simple drink into something really special?

Whisky Soda

Ingredients

Dry ginger ale Fresh Mint Cucumber Soda

Method

Fill up a tall glass {a Collins or a beer glass} with ice cubes Pour your whisky, and add a few sprigs of mint and a tall slice of cucumber cut along its length Half fill your glass with ginger ale and half with soda. And voila, you are on a roll!

Gin & Tonic

Ingredients

Kaffir lime leaves Lemongrass sticks Tonic

Method

Take a tall glass and fill it with ice and gin of your choice Break the lime leaves and drop them into the drink along with the lemongrass stick. Top up with tonic. The flavour of the lemon leaves will give a new tangent to your G&T

Beer

Ingredients

Dry ginger ale Fresh ginger

Method

Take a tall glass and half fill with your choice of lager Now add some thin strips of ginger, and top up with ginger ale! There you go, a refreshing glass of ginger shandy!

Vodka & Soda

Ingredients

Fresh oranges Aromatic bitters

Method

In an old-fashioned glass, add the bitters and vodka Drop some thin slices of oranges, and fill with ice. Top with soda; this one is an absolute stunner

White Wine

Ingredients

Watermelon Green melon Soda

Method

In a chilled wine glass, put ice, add some scoops of watermelon and green melon balls  {two – three only}. Add your wine into the glass and top with some soda. Now remember, keep the proportion to 60 – 40 only. This is the perfect summer evening drink!
