Surprise! Delhi has now become the first Indian city to get a single-window clearance for events! That means it's now a whole lot easier to host events here.
Delhi’s tourism minister, Kapil Mishra, recently announced that AR Rahman would be coming to Dwarka {it IS a part of Delhi, guys!} to perform at the NH7 Weekender music festival {previously held in Greater Noida}. This is the second major event to get that single-window clearance after Zubin Mehta’s concert at JLN Stadium.
The minister also said that NH7 Weekender would be the first event where the Delhi government would partner with EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association), and will be involved in the joint marketing of the music festival. Wowza.
No more travelling to Gurgaon or Greater Noida {or Bangalore or Mumbai} to catch your favorite artist anymore!
