As anything but football fanatics, from our limited knowledge of the biggest sporting event of the year, we have managed to deduce the following. The World Cup is running on Brazil Standard Time {8 and a half hours behind us}, and that makes every match start somewhere in the middle of the night; Pitbull's Pants will never be okay; there's a certain joy in watching matches with fellow fanatics. As ever-effecient Delhi Reporters, we've searched high and low for places, deals, and bars you can catch a match screening at. But, courtesy the city's deadlines, coupled with Brazil and India's time zones, home screenings are becoming the next {and perhaps only} option.

Three boys have undertaken the task of making the screenings happen, and for once may we hear a collective hurrah for Delhi Farm Houses. Allow us to introduce you to Tiki Taka Time - a sporting event, screening the World Cup matches in one of Delhi's farm house populated areas.

The crew behind Tiki Taka are a trio of Football Junkies, attempting to promote the sport in the country, especially at the grass roots level. Tiki Taka will only screen important matches {selected by them}, along with all knock out games. One giant screen, ice cold beer, and a football friendly food menu, upstaged only by a giant group of cheering football fans. So far, they've had an average of 150 people per match, and if you're among the first 20 to show up, you can expect a pleasant surprise from your hosts. Although Tiki Taka Time is a private screening of sorts, the boys, in true team spirit, are open to anyone attending; all you have to do is get in touch with them. We know you're thinking June temperatures and outdoor screenings have the potential for a different kind of knock-out, but the space remains surprisingly cool, given the umpteen mist fans. If nothing else, think of how hot the footballers must get, and take one for the team. The Tiki Taka crew has gone as far as making provisions for a little live action, to combat any potential boredom. The farm has a giant football field on one side, and they've set up 3 different kinds of football skill games, with rewards to boot. There are days they screen back to back matches {9.30pm, 12.30am and 3.30am}, and you can walk in at any point for any match, or even just as a little switch up to your weekend plans. Tiki Taka also allows for a BYOB situation. We recommend getting in touch before hand so you can scope the scene for a particular game.

We know the importance of unwavering support to your team of choice, so we must bring to your attention where Tiki Taka Time's loyalties lie. Broadly, they've got their money on England and Spain, with Brazil coming in a close second, and are also keeping an eye on the dark horses of the tournament -Belgium.

Put on your customized jersey, and jump on the Tiki Taka Time bandwagon. It's the closest we'll get to recreating even an iota of Brazil's energy.
