For every Jazz hands, larger than life, Broadway style musical fan, here's your first and big chance to actually be in one. Small roadblock: only if you can sing, dance and/or act.
Disney India {now you know it's legit}, is in the process of casting for its first ever live musical experience to be staged in India, and lo and behold, it's Beauty and the Beast! For the uninitiated, it follows the story of small town girl Belle, and her frog to prince charming-esque story with the Beast, a fearsome creature, who, as luck would have it, is actually a cursed handsome, young prince, stuck in a spell. Expect grand sets, a winning score, talking household goods, and the quintessential musical experience.
What you need to do?
Auditions are currently underway, and majority of the lead roles are yet to be cast. Log on, register and fill in your details. They will require details/links/portfolio of past work and relevant experience and your preferred city of audition. If shortlisted, the Disney team will get in touch with you, and provide you with the date, time and venue details, and a brief on what you need for the audition. Expect a hardcore audition, with a panel of judges, and many many rounds.
We're waiting in the wings, with baited breath, to be able to witness our version of a big musical!
