The Basil Kitchen

You can take the chef out of Olive, but you can’t take Olive out of the chef; Raman Kohli leaves the restaurant kitchen to start his own, without leaving behind any of the finesse. With plating being an integral part of the fine dining experience, his boys dish up Masterchef-style, including a pomegranate base in shot glasses from which mutton seekh is served. What not to miss – the lychee shot with wasabi and feta.

Food For Thought by Brown Sahiba

Calcutta and nostalgia seem to go hand in hand. Rajyasree Sen aka Brown Sahiba runs a catering service where Chicken Pate on Toast and Maachher Paturi fit right in with each other. Having run her own restaurant as well {you might remember Brown Sahib}, she still does the cooking herself. Dishes are ordered by plate, each of which feeds four, and Rajyasree drops off the food in Tupperware, so it’s easy to heat and eat when the time is right.

Iram By Omer Khusro

To say that they provide a wide range of absolutely delectable dishes would be an understatement. Opt for their shikampur kebabs to start off, and their dahi chops, or even the smoked dum ka keema.

Their dum biryanis are flavourful, and you can accompany it by a mirchi ka saalan, or perhaps a palak or a mango raita {one of their specialties}. All you have to do is provide your party size, and how many are vegetarian.

Pick your menu, and let them handle the rest. They’ll cook, deliver, take your through the heating instructions and even pick up the utensils the next day for you.

Asian Haus Catering Service

Asian Haus specialises in oriental and South East Asian cuisine, requires a minimum of 15 people, and will send across live stations, a catering manager, and chefs. Based on your attendee list, and their food habits, they’ll curate a special menu, do a site visit, and best of all, work around your proposed budget. Their USP is a live dim sum station, and there’s no going wrong with that.
