Annapurna Sweets

One of the best mishti dois we’ve had in the city has been at Annapurna. Creamy and served in a kullar, it’s the perfect snack on the go. You can of course also take back gur roshogollas, saundesh and a bunch of other traditional sweets home. You’ll find this shop at the Gautam Nagar exit.

18 Paranthe Wala

Take the Gurudwara exit and head straight to this tiny outlet churning fresh parathas. One paratha is as big as the plate and is bound to fill you up for a couple of hours. Choose from over 40 different fillings like aloo gobhi, pyaaz, chicken and keema. It’s a delight to watch these getting cooked; the chef opens up the paratha a little, cracks open an egg, stuffs it and quickly seals it shut. He also does a whole lot of flipping.

Say Cheese

This little all-vegetarian outlet serves quick easy-to-eat food like sandwiches, wraps, pizza, poha and muffins. Whereas we wouldn’t make the trip for this specially, the chilli cheese toast is pretty on point.

Pasta La Vista

Another vegetarian joint {we’re starting to see a pattern here}, Pasta La Vista does Indianised pastas and some really good cold coffee. Our picks? The Punjabi Tadka pasta and the tiramisu cold coffee.

Still hungry? Check out this list of cafes around. You can also of course run across to Summer House Cafe, Auro, Raasta, The Junction or Bandstand for a night of partying.
