Gear Up For Something Dramatic: Shakespeare Lives At British Council

Deepanjali posted on 21 April

What Is It?

Shakespeare Lives is a celebration of the 400th year of the Bard, with a series of programmes, events and activities lined up for his death anniversary. The event is being hosted by the British Council, and is expected to be an amazing display of literary effort.

Who Is It For?

The event is predominantly for children between the ages of eight and 13, but adults interested in the life and works of Shakespeare can also join in. There will be a poetry slam, mini play performances, film screenings, a music concert, an inter-school quiz and much more.

Why Should I Go For It?

This workshop is your ticket to connect with the world of Shakespeare, and is aimed at answering all the questions you might have always had about him, like how he thought and what exactly inspired him. You could also enhance your own creative writing skills here.

Anything Else?

Interesting visual aids will be used for the introduction, and there's also a treasure hunt for the interested, so we urge you not to miss this one.

Do take part in their writing and acting competitions to bring out the Shakespeare in you.
