What Is It?

Organised by Delhi-based Bookaroo Trust, the award-winning Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival is going to be a feast for children aged between four and 16. Authors, illustrators, storytellers and audiences, will share the same space for two consecutive days, opening new vistas for the young ones. Bookaroo was awarded the International Excellence Award at the London Book Fair earlier this year.

What can you expect there, you ask? Dramatised reading and theatre, non-stop storytelling for younger children, book launches, craft activities, art and illustration workshops, environment-related workshops and nature walks, poetry sessions, storytelling through puppet shows and much more.

Why Should I Go?

Entry is free and open to all. Bookaroo Delhi is the flagship event and has close to 70 speakers and around 100 sessions in just two days time. The two-day event is scheduled to take place on November 25 and 26.

Anything Else?

Bookaroo also has an outreach programme - Bookaroo in the City {BIC}, in which the organizers visit schools, hospitals, orphanages, homes, schools for specially-abled children. Bookaroo also acts as a stepping stone for lesser-known authors, illustrators and storytellers.
