The 2006 Filipino movie, The Bet Collector {98-minutes long} portrays a haughty woman and her fall from grace following the death of her son, and encounters with the police. There will be English sub-titles of course. Director Manoj Pandit brings life to the story of an army barrack, Bhairab Nath Gand, and the torture carried out within during the Maoist insurgency. Not for those with a weak constitution, Badhshala is incisive in it’s narrative of humiliation and excruciating pain.

Myn Bala: Warriors Of The Steppe

Akan Satayev {director} tells the tale of 1729 Kazakhstan through Myn Bala.The ferocious Mongol tribe spread out in the Steppes causing disruption and widespread fear and Sartai, a young man, assembles a force of people to wear out the Mongols and bring back rightful peace to the country.
