If you've somehow been living under an unscented rock, let us introduce you to Scentra. We hate to make comparisons, since we know how hard each design company works, but we promise this is just for the sake of an explanation. Think Toms, with a more rubber sole, lighter and, best of all, scented. We tried out a pair, and after many runs around Shahpur Jat, treks up many flights of stairs, and experiments which shouldn't involve shoes, we're unanimous in our consensus that they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes our feet have ever been in.
The shoe is made of organic cotton (washes are easy), and is breathable and eco-friendly; so unlike heavy winter shoes, and pardon us for being graphic, but sweat doesn't collect as the day goes on by. It comes finished with a certified orthopaedic sole, and a strawberry scented insole, so toe jam can sit this relationship out. Designed in California and manufactured in Spain, the shoes are designed for men, women and kids, too, now, and are available in solid colours, polka dots, and florals.
We were given the pink version, and the colour, combined with the strawberry smell, made for some very interesting walks. So if you're not running, walking, playing or fighting in them (and you can do anything in them), we'll tell you this, the scent is a great conversation starter.
They've expanded from their previous range of mostly casual and slip-on shoes to include heels and sandals for women (although they were so popular, they're sold out at the moment) and men can check out their (vegan) leather loafers for formal wear.
