The Bombaykery, one of Gurgaon's latest baking wizards, serves up delicious sweets and desserts, for individuals to grab a snack, or even large events and parties.
Preparing to pounce
After hearing good things from all corners we were eagerly awaiting our chance to try some of Bombaykery's various treats. When we finally did, our entire team was left a wreck, struggling to get out of our well-deserved food comas. Instead of having a bite each, we each gorged on the huge amount of sweets laid before us. When it rains, it pours.
As we all enjoyed a variety of their goods, the best way to proceed with this review would be to list our favourites, and not every one of the many, many items we tried.
Sweet satisfaction
Among our must eats were the Sea Salt and Nutella cookies, which were to die for {be careful here if you don't like salted chocolate}. In the box of assorted tarts, cupcakes, and cheesecakes, the shining stars were the Red Velvet cupcake, khatta Lemon Tart, and both the Raspberry and Blueberry mini baked cheesecakes, with creamy outsides and delicious, fruity centres.
We then fell in love with the Belgian Chocolate Fudge, with the indulgent, rich fudge going well with the powdered chocolate sprinkles on top. Among the savoury options the Cheesesticks {very slightly, and enjoyably spicy} were the standout stars, and were devoured in mere minutes. An honourable mention must go to the Paan Macaroon, which, while it wasn't exactly to our taste, must get points for authenticity of flavour and general imagination.
What do we think?
Whether you want to buy that special someone an edible treat to show them how much you care, need to cater and feed a large group of friends, or just want to treat yourself after a stressful day at work {you can run it off at the gym tomorrow!}, we suggest you get off your butts and go try Bombaykery.
