Going For SulaFest 2017? Here's What You Should Know

Style posted on 1st February

2017 is here and so is the barrage of music festivals that will be held throughout the year. But one of the oldest and perhaps the most loved of them all, has to be the SulaFest which kickstarts this weekend.
SulaFest is one of the finest music gatherings, and when we say 'fine' it’s all because of the 'wine'. Every year they manage to raise the bar and since it’s the 10th year they may just exceed all our expectations. If you haven’t attended SulaFest even once in the past nine years then 2017 should be the year you make your first trip! And here is your know-before-you-go guide to #SulaFest2017.

The Line Up

The festival this year will host over 100 artists from India and abroad. From performances by our very own Indian artists such as Nucleya, Indian Ocean, and The Raghu Dixit Project to international ones like Infected Mushrooms, Bloc Party Dubioza Kolektiv, there'll be a whole lot you can witness here. The three stages – The Amphitheater Stage, Atmasphere Stage, and Tropical Stage is where you'll find all the action.

A wine fest without wine tasting? That ain't happening. Head straight to the Tasting Room to opt for a wine-tasting session where you’ll get to sample the most exquisite wines from Sula. After all there is no such thing as too much wine.

Acoustic Chill

Aside from stages Atmasphere and Amphitheater, Sula has created an additional arena which is all about chill and electro acoustic music.  If revelling in vanilla tunes while soaking in the sun and sipping on wine is your kinda thing then Tropical Stage is the place to be.

Camping Under The Stars

Imagine spending the night under the sparkling gaze of the stars in the night sky, surrounded by lush green vineyards? It is possible courtesy the Tent City accommodation where fest-goers can camp under the stars, amidst the cool vineyards.

Grape Stomping

The best part of having a music festival in a vineyard is that the you get an opportunity to go for grape-stomping. The barrels used for preserving the wines are cut into half and grapes are placed inside it for folks to put their feet into and stomp on the grapes!

DJ Powered Yoga

Amidst all the musical madness, the yoga sessions every morning at Tent City and the SulaFest run will certainly offer a healthy new spin to this gourmet festival or at the very least, encourage you to embrace a more health-conscious lifestyle.

PS: Don't forget to carry your own yoga mats and follow along as Sula starts the day with some light stretching and basic yoga, suitable for all levels, regardless of experience.
