Gourmet Passport {you may have come across this in book form} has made it to the Play Store and App Store. The app has tied up with over 100 of the most impressive fine dine restaurants in the city and offers a complimentary main course on purchase of one. All with one swipe on your smartphone.

Passport To Good Eating

With over 100 restaurants under their belt, Gourmet Passport aims to make the whole fine dine experience just a little more affordable for us. There are no hidden disclaimers and they keep it super simple by offering ‘buy one main course get one main course free’ at every single restaurant on their list. We even spotted some buffet deals, much to our delight.

The Starter Pack {INR 599} gives you 100 coupons – one for each restaurant. The Light Pack {INR 999} gives you 200 coupons- two for each restaurant and the Max Pack {INR 1,299} gives you 300 coupons.

Note: A lot of the restaurants accept these coupons only on weekdays.

We’re super impressed with Gourmet Passport’s selection of restaurants but if you’ve just bought yourself the starter pack and are in a bit of a dilemma on where to head first, here are our top picks

Tamra at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel

Because you get a whole person’s buffet meal complimentary. And given Tamra’s seafood spread, Mughlai and Asian fare, you’re going to be getting more than your money’s worth.

A Ta Maison {ATM}

A member’s only club, ATM isn’t always accessible and if that isn’t reason enough to make a booking here, check out their beautifully-plated {and tasting} dishes here. Don’t forget to order the Chicken Liver Pate while you’re dining here.

SET’Z

Simply because they’re letting you bring your gourmet passport on weekends as well. And the fact that they have 12 expat chefs working on different cuisines and creating absolute masterpieces. We especially love the Bellini here.

Honk

This gem at Pullman Aerocity serves an array of Japanese and Thai dishes and does some really stellar cocktails. Honk is a little on the expensive side, so the app is only going to help  during your visit here. Don’t leave without trying the Nanjing Style Duck.

Gourmet Passport has also recently added restaurants such as Ziu and 38 Barracks. Check out their full list here.
