What Is It?

Indian Council For Cultural Relations is back with the sixth Delhi International Jazz Festival featuring 10 different jazz bands from different parts of the world over three days: Sep 24-26.

Who Is It For?

Those who know what it’s like to be out in the greens listening to great music. And those who don’t; there’s always a first time for everything.

Why Should I Go For It?

Jazz artistes all the way from Spain, Israel, Russia, Poland and USA will be romancing the sax and trumpet at this one. There’ll also be performers from Goa, Shillong and saddi Dilli.

It’s a great place to soak in some good vibes and enjoy music the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed; sitting in the grass wearing shabby jeans. Over the years, this concert has become an awesome place for bumping into friends and enjoying mellow party scenes listening to not-so-mainstream and talented musicians. So, going by its track record, this one ought to be good.

Anything Else?

Parking around the area can get messy, with cars spilling over to nearby roads. You might be better off car pooling or relying on public transport {Jor Bagh and Race Course metro stations are close}.

While the official time is 6.30pm, if you’re hoping to grab a strategic chair for the performances, you might want to reach a little early.

Timings: 6.30pm onwards

When: Sep 24 - 26
