What Makes It Awesome?

Gypsy Child – The Lake Hostel is a boutique hostel situated right on the banks of Lake Pichola. While a stunning sunset and lake view is guaranteed, the fact that this hostel is located in the heart of the city and that a night here doesn’t cost the earth, makes us want to pack our bags right away!

One of the most popular attractions in Udaipur is Lake Pichola and wouldn’t it just be nice if you could wake up with a view of the lake as often as possible during your stay? This is exactly what you get when you check into the Gypsy Child Hostel. From their terrace, you’ll always be able to witness the wallpaper-worthy views of Jag Mandir, Lake Pichola and the Lake Palace. For when you’re done with your quota of lake views, you can always make your way to the Old City, the Gangaur Ghat, shop at the Hathi Pol Bazaar and OD on kheer and Lal Maas at the Ambrai Restaurant.

Plus, since the hostel is centrally located, walking down to most places won’t be all that exhausting. After a whole day of exploring the city, you can always trust the good folks at the Gypsy Child Hostel to provide you with the perfect home away from home (perhaps, even better). For starters, this hostel looks like a property straight out of Greece with its all-white exteriors and colourful wall and interior detailing (how cute is the entrance?). They’ve got cosy and clean dorms and a hearty breakfast’s also included to ensure that you enjoy the most comfortable stay ever.

Price: INR 834 per night (approximately)

What Could Be Better

Heads up, if you're a night owl, they don't allow guests to use their terrace late at night since they aren't a party hostel.

Pro-Tip

Their epic movie nights, the decent-enough WiFi and their lovely concierge service (they’re more than happy to share recommendations) will convince you to plan a trip pronto. Oh, and breakfast is complimentary!
