What Makes It Awesome

Handi Bazaar boasts of a range of all-vegetarian, preservative-free frozen snacks available online. So when you want to skip on the cooking, tear open a packet, heat and eat. Choose from their range of ready-to-fry snacks like Seekh Kebab, Shammi Kebab, Hara Bhara Kebab, Cheese Fingers, Pudina Rings and Vegetable Burger Patty. Everything’s vegetarian, but as full-time carnivores, we can vouch for the Shammi Kebab – it’s at par with most frozen mutton ones you’ll come across in the city.

We picked up the Falafel that we cooked up in our air-fryer and once it got crisp, we realised we definitely didn't make enough because we were fighting over the last piece. We also fried the Veg Manchurian balls (in oil, there's only so many healthy choices we can make in a single meal) which were a little spicy for us but we fixed that by eating them with some fried rice that we added some of the veggies (mushrooms and baby corn) we got from their site.

We loved the low-effort part that came with their food, we literally just had one or two steps that we needed to do before the food ended up on our plates (and then our tummies.) Usually, frozen food can be a little bland but we think these definitely pack a punch (some things punched harder for sure) so it didn't feel like we were eating at a kid's birthday party.

Price: INR 65 onwards

What Could Be Better

The spice levels in Handi’s creations are on the higher side, so if you have sensitive tastebuds, we suggest keeping a stack of roomali rotis and tubs of curd ready to tone down all the heat.
