The Handmade Edit

What's Happening

Ziba By Hand is organising The Delhi Handmade Collective at Aga Khan Hall on August 16 and 17, dedicated to all things made by hand. The selection of brands will bring art, eco-friendly fashion, accessories, handicrafts and textiles from across the country.

Chikankari kurtas, Pichai on saris and dresses, ceramic jewellery (by Chaakmaati), TUNI Tales’ home linen, Banarasi textiles from Roliana, Burlap’s natural fiber bags, handpainted vegan bags, jute bags from Calcutta and Naga jewellery… Ziba’s debut pop-up will see over 30 designers participating.

How's The Venue

We’ve visited a lot of exhibitions-cum-sales at the hall and haven’t gotten back disappointed. The halls are spacious and lends itself well it both formats: multi-brand sales and single brand ones (Jaypore and Cornell Overseas being some). Other than that, handloom sales and sustainable exhibitions are a regular feature here.

Going by these examples and the list of participating brands at The Handmade Collective, we’re excited to check it out.

Make A Note

In keeping with the theme, they’ll also have live music and they’re taking requests for the flutist on their FB page. We hear, there might be live-weaving, block printing and pottery as well. Plus, a chance to meet artisans, perhaps.
