Haven’t Been To Pind Baluchi In A While? This Punjabi Restaurant Is Worth Revisiting

Parul posted on 26 August

Shortcut

Pind Baluchi is somewhat of a Gurgaon landmark; it marked the beginning of what went to become Sector 29 island and was one of the first few family restaurants to open in new Gurgaon. The best bit? The food is still as good as we remember it

Desi Done Right

Makhni Dal, Shahi Paneer and Butter Chicken – when it comes to Punjabi food in Gurgaon, Pind Baluchi is a no-brainer. However, if you’ve been there, done that {and who hasn’t}, we suggest you try something new.

Start with the kebab platter, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and add a side of Spicy Golden Paneer Fingers {glorified, but glorious, paneer pakoras} with a round of drinks. The appetiser selection is better for carnivores though – the Lahori Murgh, the Gilafi Chicken Seekh, Mutton Boti and Fish Amritsari are not to be missed.

Save Some Space

If you managed to make it through the huge portions of starters, it’s worth keeping an appetite for the main course. Like we said, skip the usual and try the Dum Aloo, Saag Paneer and the Dhaba Meat for a fancier home-style meal. If you want to go the gourmet way, the Chef’s Special Mutton Shahi Korma and the Murgh Methi Masala, best had with crisp Tandoori Rotis, are highly recommended.

So, We're Saying...

Don’t forget dessert – Karol Bagh {KB) Kulfi is right outside Pind Baluchi and serves over 15 kulfi variants.
