Remember the iconic Chanakya Cinema? After its demolition in 2007, it’s back (& how) now as DLF Emporio’s The Chanakya – a luxury four storey mall-cum-multiplex. Housing some of the most upscale brands in the city; this mall is fancy as can be, and almost everything here would make you want to just swipe your card.

Here’s a low-down on most of the stores and what to expect (and we’ll keep you posted about anything new that pops up on our radar).

We recommend going armed with your credit cards to treat yourself to some much-needed retail therapy.

Nicobar

We’ve always loved Nicobar‘s easy-breezy dresses and their minimal {but stylish} home decor pieces, and couldn’t be more happy to find them at the new mall too. They’ve also launched their new stunning tropical-themed cafe – NicoCaara, which makes us want to drop by the store ASAP.

Janavi India

Janavi is a globally acclaimed cashmere brand that does cashmere stoles, kaftans and more {and monogrammed ones too}

Hermès

Hermès‘ iconic, printed scarves are reason enough to make that trip down to central Delhi. Always wanted to own a classic, Hermès scarf? The store at The Chanakya is just the sign.

The Collective Denims

This is a store that houses only denim lifestyle brands like Seven For All Mankind, Versace Jeans and Replay. You can choose from over 40 denim fits and they have denim accessories too. Denim jackets are all the rage, you might want to check out The Collective?

Grassroot by Anita Dongre

Grassroot is a label that promotes ethical fashion. The clothes are created in close collaboration with the local artisans of India, with the aim to empower them and create livelihoods. If you’re someone who wants to be a part of the kinder, sustainable fashion movement, Grassroot could be a start.

Ranna Gill

The woman behind the infamous brand, Tulsi, Neeru Kumar’s clothes celebrate Indian handwoven textiles. For anyone who’s obsessed with ikat, shibori, kantha and jamdani textile techniques, Neeru Kumar’s store is a must-visit. This store’s got a variety of saris, fashion accessories and home decor, all of which have a timeless aesthetic.

Diesel

A popular denim brand, Diesel’s store at The Chanakya houses clothing and accessories. It’s also a brand that introduces more than 3,000 new products every season, so check it out if you love all things denim and a want a great variety too.

Ted Baker

Ted Baker London launched its first-ever store in India at The Chanakya in Delhi. It’s a 1600 sq. ft. store inspired by the British royal palaces. This store houses everything from Ted’s women and men’s wear to the brand’s statement accessories.

Gulabo By Abu Sandeep

This new label from the House of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla is all about dresses, tunics, kaftans, kurtis and dhotis made from the finest, softest, smoothest fabric known to mankind. Breezy, like a breath of fresh air, this label stands for style, sass and elegance. Head over to pick up an outfit for that brunch party this Sunday.

Zooki

Clothing, jewellery and accessories, they’ve got it all! Their rich fabrics and silhouettes are made for those who like to live life king size. A trip to this store comes highly recommended if you’re on the lookout for outfits for upcoming celebrations.

Paro

If there is one name everyone would have heard of in the fashion industry, it is of Ralph Lauren. Even though he started small, he is a giant in the industry and one of the most sought after designers.

Check out his store at The Chanakya for dark tailored blazers, classic plaids, striped sweatshirts and well-fitting dresses. 

Chanel

Chanel's only boutique in the city, this one is all things luxe. Spread across two spacious and well-lit floors, the boutique is a great place to drop by for Chanel's classic quilted bags, espadrilles, and tweed suit sets. While the ground floor is where you'll find all the clothes, the first floor is all about accessories including watches, bags, beauty, fragrance, and other leather goods.
