While some of our friends and family have definitely taken the title Quarantine Chef a little too seriously (we get it, you bake your own sourdough), some of us haven't had the time, capacity or, honestly, just plain will to do so. And because there's nothing wrong with that, the next best thing when you're tired of ordering in the same old 30-minutes-or-free pizzas and (too) chilly garlic noodles, check out these home chefs that are preparing home-cooked meals that taste just like ghar ka khana (but not specifically your own ghar, duh.)

Whether you're craving a proper Italian feast or just want a good old burger or even dal makhani, we've got it all in one handy list for you to bookmark.

PS: These home chefs are ensuring they prepare, pack and deliver the food according to Covid-19 prevention guidelines.

Pasta Dal Cuore

If you're craving really yummy, really authentic pasta, Pasta Dal Cuore is your best bet. They make different types of ravioli, tagliatelle and sauces to go with the pasta (think pomodoro, basil pesto, vodka sauce and more). They come frozen so you can order ahead and keep them stocked in your freezer for during the week and it just takes a few minutes to cook them up.

They take orders all week but deliver on Saturday and Sunday, and they don't do any non-vegetarian options.

If you'd like some options for healthy pastas and noodles, we got you.

If you're in Delhi, there's a strong chance you've always got a momo craving in the back of your mind. That's our mood most days so Mood, a home kitchen by a mother-daughter duo based out of Vasant Kunj, is a saviour. Other than the delicious, handmade momos, they've also got pork belly, khapse, chicken pickle and a few more picks.

They're currently only available for takeaways and pick up from Vasant Kunj.

Julia's Goan Kitchen

Sure, you can't travel to Goa RN (it's too hot anyway) but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy Goan food! Julia's Goan Kitchen has classics like goan prawn chilly fry, goan fish curry and some chicken options as well. They deliver from Wednesday to Sunday and you need to order 24 hours in advance.

Chefs And Friends

Started by 2 chefs, this home kitchen has a menu that keeps changing weekly. Basically, if you order from them this week, you could order something entirely new next week and never run out of new things to try. Chefs And Friends make themed meals like Thai, Indian, Continental and there's always a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

WeekEasy

Here's another menu that changes weekly, WeakEasy was started by chefs who create a weekly menu that's delicious and fun. Previously, the menu's had fun themes like Harry Potter (butterbeer!), Game Of Thrones and Friends. Some picks that our team has loved is their tacos, burritos and HUGE burgers.

Hungry Tummy

Sure, global and continental food is delicious but there's nothing that makes our hungry self quite as happy as Indian food. Whether it's dal makhani that you need or butter chicken or even simple rajma chawal, Hungry Tummy has that at a reasonable price, too. They also make kebabs, vegetarian and non vegetarian, and biryani. In case you're ordering for more people and need more diverse options, they make dips, sushi, thai curry and a few others things as well.

Kitchen108

When you're craving regional food, you'd venture out to a hidden gem in the city, right? Well, while that's on pause, Kitchen108's one such hidden gem that does Andhra and Punjabi food which you can get home delivered. The food is as authentic as it is delicious and there's plenty to try since their menu keeps changing weekly. Check out the seasonal prawns with raw mango curry, Andhra chicken biryani, dhaba style paneer bhurji and more.

SuRaBo By Radhika

We love the idea of trying out new food from the comfort of our homes, especially when we're binging a new Netflix series (are you done with The Bold Type yet?) SuRaBo By Radhika is a vegetarian home kitchen that does sushi, bun-less burgers and bubble tea and, wait for it, a sushi cake. It's unique and delicious and there are a ton of options, whether you check out the rice or noodle bun or 13 different flavours of bubble teas.
