Shortcut

Hidden in a basement behind black velvet curtains, which lift automatically as you descend, House of Heirloom is an appointment-only décor store cum one-stop-shop for all things wedding.

Be bespoke

In case the name didn’t give it away, HOH is big on heirloom pieces {both sourced and personally collected}, restoring old pieces, and creating new ones. The emphasis on bringing back the traditional crafts, work and craftsmen is strong; each piece of furniture here is unique. They’re also big on statement ceilings and their own is testament to the magic they can create.

Swing from the chandelier

Even if you take a tiny glimpse into the boutique, you’ll realise instantaneously that chandeliers are one of their main attractions. You bump into the dangling crystal at almost every corner {literally… some of them hang down super low}. They’re open to as much customisation as you like with these, from the size, number of lights, colours etc.

The gem

We’re talking mother of pearl embellishments on the furnishing, Chantilly lace headboards, zari thread fabrics, and Benaras hand-embroidered fabric. They also curate art: Think original D’souzas, Hussains and Vaikuntams. There’s yet another silver lining: Find in store a collection of collector’s silverware. They showed us a tea time cake holder circa the British Raj and we were more than impressed.

A bride’s dream

House of Heirloom looks at anything and everything a bride could possibly dream of for her wedding {and even after}. From bridal wear and trousseaus {they house couture by Poonam Bhagat and Bhaavya Bhatnagar, who also create bespoke wedding couture for your big day} to a set of matching furniture to bespoke clutches by Meera Mahadevia, they’ve got all your needs covered. Add to that, the services of a make-up artist and styling at their headquarters and you have yourself a grand wedding.
