Kal Penn Is In Town And He Wants To Talk To You!

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

Fans and social media followers of Kal Penn have probably already guessed that this American actor and civil servant is currently visiting the country of his origin. And the American Centre New Delhi has graciously organised an evening of interaction with the famous actor, followed by a screening of The Namesake.

PS: Kalpen Modi, as he is otherwise known, has served in the Obama administration as the Associate Director of Public Engagement. How cool is that!

Who Is It For?

Kal Penn fans! He has appeared across a variety of shows like House and How I Met Your Mother, and movies like The Namesake and Harold & Kumar.

Why Should I Go For It?

The subject for the talk is “Cultural Connections in US–India Relations”, but Penn is known for his comic timing, so expect him to answer questions on serious issues with a touch of his trademark, tongue-in-cheek humour.

The interaction will be followed by a screening of the critically acclaimed The Namesake, which you really do not want to miss. This 2006 film was directed by Mira Nair and based on a novel of the same name by Jhumpa Lahiri.
