Rias Jaipur is winning for their colourful creations using handspun khadi. They employ traditional techniques to create contemporary clothing for women and their motto is to save Indian textiles from losing out.
This Brand's Giving Khadi A Makeover With Colourful Women's Clothes
Desk To Dinner Wear FTW
These folks are combining traditional art forms like Daboo and block printing for tops and dresses. By collaborating with local artisans, they’ve given a modern twist to khadi. They’ve recently launched a bunch of pretty khadi saris too, if that’s something you enjoy wearing. Everything they make is woven by hand and they pay utmost attention to detail. What’s great about their stuff is that it’s all comfortable and breathable… Something that’s perfect to stay cool in Delhi’s sweltering summer. If you go through their collection, you’ll notice they’re doing bright, colourful pieces that aren’t too loud and have zero bling. Minimal and tasteful, if you’re someone who enjoys dresses with pockets, flowy tops and comfortable saris, their stuff is perfect to wear to office (it works just fine for post-office drinks too). All their clothing is sustainable and eco-friendly and we love how they’re helping local artisans around Rajasthan promote their craft and contribute to their livelihood. Since they’re using handspun khadi and all their work is stitched by hand, their clothes are slightly on the more expensive side. Their tops and dresses start at INR 3,000 and their saris start at INR 7,000.
So, We're Saying
They’re new so they’re currently selling through Instagram and Facebook. They have a flagship store in Jaipur but we’re hoping they open one in Delhi too.
