What Makes It Awesome?

I went for the elusive Kheerganga trek with my school and college friends. We started our trip from Faridabad in evening and reached our destination the next morning. Our first stop was Kasol, where we had our stay booked for the next day. This was my first trek and thus the entire experience was simply memorable for me. The feeling and joy of trekking for 15km {around 5-7 hours including breaks} can’t be described. I am now really in love with the mountains. The reward of trekking was taking a relaxing dip in the hot water springs which was also the highlight of this trek. The springs will surely relax your muscles and take away the tiredness, and the view was absolutely mesmerising from the top.

What Could Be Better?

Generally, the trek is a considered to be a difficult one but during monsoon season {July & August} it becomes more challenging as it is all slushy their. We have crossed few waterfalls and a landslide en route which was an enthralling experience in itself. We have also created paths with fallen trees, nevertheless, all in all, I totally loved it!

What's My Pro Tip?

Remember these points:

1. Make sure you carry jackets or sweat-shirts along with you no matter during whichever season you are visiting.
2. Carrying your own first aid box and a good pair of trek shoes.
3. Carry spare batteries for the camera as there may be no electricity supply.
4. Call your family members at the starting point of the trek as there will be no signal during the trek or for that matter when you reach Kheerganga.

Anything Else?

Don't worry about the night stay, as there various camps available there starting from INR 150-250 per person, real cheap, one that won't pinch your pocket whatsoever.
