Whenever you hear the word 'war' in the title and then get told that it is based on a true story, it is easy to dismiss the movie for being a long running bore fest overtly glorifying some country's armed forces, and we have enough of that already. Believe us, War Dogs isn't going to be anything like it.

Starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, this movie is actually a comedy which sees two men, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, win a $300 million contract from the Pentagon to arm America's allies in Afghanistan {and all that happens with it}.

Here are a few things you should know before you book your tickets.

Written For Jonah

It is great to see an actor like Jonah Hill portray real life characters, and beautifully, too, but what sweetens the deal here is that it was written keeping the actor in mind. Jonah has had some very great roles recently, which really has us expect something amazing from this movie. He had originally declined the movie due to lack of availability, though took it up again when it got pushed to a later date.

This Could've Been Different

Owing to Jonah's unavailability, Jesse Eisenberg and Shia LaBeouf were cast for the movie, though as it turned out, the movie got pushed and both of them ended up being unavailable, paving the way for Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, instead. The duo doesn't just look good in the trailers, but initial screenings also suggest that they've done justice to the story and characters, as well.

Expect Zany Comedy

Todd Phillips is known for movies such as The Hangover, Due Date and Project X, and all of them have their own brand of humour attached to them. War Dogs {at least from the looks of it} is no different when it comes to the zany comedy and eccentric characters, and we really think that a right mix of comedy and drama could take this movie really far {resulting in an insane, if not enlightening, story}.

Spot Dan Bilzerian

Yes, the same guy we all envy for his guns, girls, and high-flying lifestyle, thanks to Instagram. He is a part of the movie as himself, and if you've already not seen enough of him, War Dogs promises more. Another great addition to the cast {which in our opinion is better} is Bradley Cooper, who looks pretty rad in the trailers.

The Scarface Connect

If you are a Scarface fan, you would've already noticed how the movie poster design is a parody of the iconic poster for Brian De Palma's crime epic Scarface. And that is not the only connect; Efraim Diveroli {Jonah Hill's character} is apparently a big fan of the movie, and is also known to idolise Al Pacino's Scarface character, Tony Montana.

So, go ahead, book your tickets for this one; you might just end up having a good laugh on your lazy weekend.
