We always pass by the Chattarpur area en-route Gurgaon, which we usually associate with mandirs, weddings and pool parties. A recent exploration of the surrounding area, however, led us to find some eateries we were completely unaware of. Most of them are delivery/takeaway joints, so you might have to enjoy the food when you’re at one of those pool parties.

Regardless, if you happen to find yourself around the area with a rumbling tummy, here are the places to look up.

Lettuce Eat

Great packaging and variety is what makes this place a success. They’re pretty heavy on Indian non-vegetarian cuisine, so if you’re planning to have something like tikkas and kebabs, they won’t disappoint. If you want to skip the masala, you can also choose from their range of pizzas, pastas, Chinese, burgers and Thai. The best part? They deliver till 3am.

V’s Bake Shop

Your solution to all the cake cravings ever, V’s Bake Shop whips up some delish desserts, including a cinnamon walnut tea cake, M&M cookies, Kit-Kat cream cheese brownies, pound cakes and sponge cakes. They even have a small Paleo {gluten-free} menu and a vegan section. While they do deliver within a 5 kilometre radius, you need to place your orders before 11am if you want it delivered the same day.

Tonino

Chattarpur’s most popular {and fancy} restaurant, Tonino, also offers home delivery. Choose from their range of woodfired pizzas, ravioli and bruschetta, with our personal favourite being the Linguine pasta with lobster meat and cherry tomato sauce.

However, we always prefer hopping down here to dine, so we can enjoy some good Italian wine while we’re at it, too.

Biryani Ishqq

We think this is a good option when you’re ordering for a large group, as they deliver the biryani in handy handis. Choose from Masala Lahori Biryani, Paneer Lababdar, Shahi Mughlai and Tangri Ishq. You can also order some spicy tikkas, kebabs and gravies to make a complete feast out of it.

Subway

We believe Subway needs no introduction. However, if you insist on knowing what floats our boat here, it’s the tuna sub in wheat bread with a generous amount of Southwest sauce, mint mayonnaise, honey mustard and sweet onion. Paired with a packet of chips and iced tea, of course. The vegetarian shammi kebab comes a close second.
