Chennai-based Brass Tacks focuses on using Indian textile in contemporary silhouettes {think vintage, comfort, and summery}. Their fits cater to all Indian body types, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Mix And Match

You’ll find most of Brass Tacks apparel is made from cotton, linen, khadi, silk, and modal. The minimal designs, angular cuts, anti-fits, and summery styles are for anybody and everybody. Very simple, yet stylish, Brass Tacks, like its name {and the phrase}, takes you back to basics; to the nitty-gritties and intricate details of dressing that we absolutely adore.

Their latest collection is inspired by Boro {which in Japanese means mending patches together} that has shirts and dresses in ikat patchwork. Owned by the Chennai-based Anaka Narayanan, the store also houses sand-washed silk dresses that feel like velvet. Their boxy crop tops with an interesting ostrich and camel print, formal linen pants in the most perfect grey, printed shirt-dresses in khadi, culottes and skirts in linen, and a dhoti dungaree are among our favourites.

From Petite To Plus

They have sizes from XS to XXL {with variations in the categories, too}, so their stuff isn’t just aesthetically stunning, but also hosts sizes fit to all.
