We’re waiting for Zee JLF, almost as much as we’re waiting for the 26th January long weekend, and as our fortune would have it in 2015, they’re on the same weekend. We released a first look-see of what to look forward to in this year’s edition, and since the festival keeps growing {much like our luck}, here’s round two of what to expect this year.

For first timers, besides back to back, parallel sessions, featuring a host of Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer prize winners, Man Booker Prize recipients, celebrated authors, speakers, and TV & film personalities, there’s also a music stage every night. As for 2015, JLF has released its final line-up of 234 speakers and 117 musicians, including Jung Chang {whose memoir of growing up in Mao’s China, Wild Swans, has sold over 15 million copies}, A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Naseeruddin Shah, Shashi Tharoor, Navtej Sarna, Anuja Chauhan and Urvashi Butalia. As for more celebrated names, expect Vishal Bhardwaj {speaking about his Shakespearean deconstructions in Haider}, Waheeda Rehman, and Prasoon Joshi. As for speakers, they’ve confirmed Nobel laureate V.S. Naipaul, Man Booker Prize winner Eleanor Catton, contemporary travel writer Paul Theroux, Pulitzer Prize winning poet Vijay Seshadri, Elizabeth Gilbert {author of Eat, Pray, Love}, oscar nominated screenwriter and novelist Hanif Kureishi, and 228 more names. JLF will also celebrate and honour 50 years since, ‘A House for Mr Biswas’ was published!

Registrations are open, and we suggest you snap to it, since hotels are filling up fast.
