What Makes It Awesome

Maa Tara, a little nook in C.R Park, should be on every Bong food lover's speed dial. The menu is reasonable, fuss-free, and expansive enough for you to keep trying new dishes all the time.

The Chingri Malai curry is just the right kind of creamy to pair very well with rice and the Mutton Kosha {tender pieces of mutton in a thick gravy} works well with Fluffy Luchis. Pair the rice and curry with a piece of flaky fried fish to make it a complete meal.

Vegetarians can get the Aloo Posto, Aloo Dum or the stuffed Potol Dorma. The Potol Bhaja was nice and crispy too. But of course, what absolutely stole the show was the Begun Bhaja, it was the juiciest and chunkiest Bhaja I've had in a long time.

What Could Be Better?

The Churchuri was not the best I have had, it was overloaded with drumsticks which kinda disappointed me. Also, for a Bengali eatery, the Misti section was a little underwhelming, they should consider adding more options.

What's My Pro Tip?

Though it's not mentioned on the menu, you have the option of ordering half portions for most of the main course. Oh, and there's a board outside the restaurant that lists daily specials so do have a quick dekko at that.

Anything Else?

It's better if you call for home delivery as the market is currently a bit dug up which makes it difficult to go all the way to the restaurant.
