What Makes It Awesome

Literally one of the quickest ways for my day to go terribly is when I wake up on the wrong side of the bed with bad hair. Superficial and kind of dramatic, yes, but I feel 10x better when my hair cooperates with me. That’s how I stumbled upon Maati on Instagram when I saw someone with gorgeous hair recommending their customisable products. They’ve got pretty much everything we could need to keep our hair healthy and happy, from shampoos and oils to silk scrunchies and pillow cases.

From their rinses, I got the Rosemary one which is supposed to reduce breakage in your hair by increasing the circulation of oxygen. It feels pretty light but I’m guessing it’ll take a few more washes to see exactly how effective it is. If you’ve got damaged hair, the Aloe Vera one is your best pick or the Guava one if you’re trying to grow your hair out. I also got the Kaveri Oil which they recommend for overall scalp health and I loved it! My scalp felt soothed and it was pretty hydrating. They also have an oil called Vridhi to help you grow longer lashes and thicker brows (threading accidents happen more often than not.)

Also, more of an impulse buy, I had to get the Silk Scrunchies because of how cute they looked. When I’m not wearing one in my hair, I usually just wear it on my wrist. It doesn’t leave my hair frizzy when I take it out and it doesn't hurt my wrist like regular hair ties do.

If you’re super picky about your hair products, they’ll help you pick a customised hair pack for you! They’ll take an entire hair profile and pick from their collection of 300 ingredients to make an ideal one for you.

Price: INR 300 for the rosemary rinse, INR 600 for the kaveri oil, INR 350 for the scrunchies set

Pro-Tip

They’re a small team of mothers working together with no outsourcing so sometimes it takes them a while to reply but it’s usually within 24-48 hours. There's also no website so you have to order through Whatsapp or Instagram DMs.

I love their Instagram page (@maaticare) for DIY hair masks and packs, they’re not just trying to sell their own products, they actually want us to take care of our hair.
