What Is It?

We’re giving you a zany reason to get out of bed early this Sunday: A workshop where you can learn Madhubani artwork in the serene, gorgeous setting of Zorba The Buddha.

Santosh Paswan, son of a State Awardee in Madhubani painting, is coming from his village Jitwapur in Bihar, to teach you the art form he has perfected over the last two decades.

Who Is It For?

Anyone with a keen interest in traditional Indian art forms will love this. Got kids at home? This is perfect for some fun family time out.

Why Should I Go For It?

24

In this six-hour long workshop, you’ll learn the traditional techniques of Madhubani painting—the use of earth colours using natural dyes and pigments, creation of geometrical patterns, and the technique of painting with fingers, twigs, nib-pens, and matchsticks. You don’t need to get anything special for this workshop and you can easily recreate what you learn here

Oh, and you get to take back home the art you created in class to hang on your walls. Win!

Anything Else?

Oh yes. The package, aside from the workshop, includes a walk through the eco village at Zorba The Buddha. There’s even a Zen Lunch at the venue {an organic menu}, so you can soak in some sun while you gorge on a healthy, hearty meal. What about when you need a break from all that learning? There’s high tea for you too.

PS: We suggest you register ASAP. There’s a very limited number of seats available.
