You've Gotta See The Starry Sky After An Amazing Trek To Triund

What Makes It Awesome

I travelled to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh on #MayDay and after a day of rest, started my trek to Triund.

The path is fairly easy and takes you through a mix of semi-steep, rocky patches with a view of Dharamshala on one side and the Dhauladhar range on the other, all to keep you pumped up.

I was accompanied by two of my girlfriends and Ashu, the guide from JustWravel, who took great care of his fellow trekkers throughout.

Once we reached Triund, we were welcomed by an intense hailstorm and snow on the higher peaks, which honestly was a bit scary but once everything settled and we were offered hot tea, my day was made.

What's My Pro Tip

The trek from main square at Mcloedganj to Triund is about 9 kms and takes 5 hours, but you can save the first 3 kms by taking a shared cab up to Dharamkot and start your trek from there. Be sure to carry warm socks and a jacket to keep you warm at night.

Also, toilet paper always helps!

Anything Else

Be sure to get a glimpse of the night sky.
