An urban transportation solution, this article by The Financial Express states that “Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced the Metrino Personal Rapid Transit System from Delhi-Haryana border to Rajiv Chowk and Sohna Road {Badshahpur Chowk} as a pilot project.”

With work starting sometime around the middle of the year, this pod-system will span 13 kms and will cost a whopping INR 850 crores. The publication was told by the Metrino PRT, “Each pod can carry up to five people. All pods, stops and the route network are meant to be monitored by security cameras.”

And whats more? These travel at the speed of 50 km/hour and will have 16 stations. Get ready to welcome the future guys!
