A popular haunt amidst students of Gargi and Kamla Nehru colleges, Mithapur {formerly-known as Mithas} does vegetarian north and south Indian thalis, Chinjabiand a range of sweets at prices that don’t pinch.

Chaat-ing Up

Mithapur has a 100 per cent vegetarian menu, which at first sight, appears to include everything under the sun. They’ve got pizza, burgers, sandwiches, north Indian and south Indian, but multiple trips here will help you realise that their forte lies in north Indian and chaat.

They’ve got gol gappas, papri, bhelpuri, aloo tikki and everything chatpata even the most demanding of pregnancy hormones could ask for. We wouldn’t say it’s the best chaat in the city, but for those times you want to skip waiting in line for the vendor to notice you so you can get started on your round of gol gappas, it’s ideal.

Thali Tales

Mithapur does the regular Indian fare pretty well. From Shahi Paneer to Navratan Korma to Aloo Gobhi along with fresh breads like Pudina Paratha, naans and Stuffed Kulccha. If you want a little bit of everything, one of their combo meals/thalis may be the way to go.

Also worth trying is their Golden Fried Baby Corn- perfectly spiced and perfectly crispy, it makes for a great snack any time of the day. The potato version isn’t as good, as it doesn’t come out crisp.

#LBBTip

Mithapur is great for acquiring namkeen and tea snacks; we especially recommend their Matar Kachori.
