On a recent visit to Defence Colony market, we spotted a pretty balcony looming overhead. Mosaic specialises in Lebanese and Mediterranean food and has a pretty vast menu. Every table gets a complimentary portion of hummus and pita and that’s just the beginning.

Hot And Cold

Mosaic is your go-to if you want a hot meal {or even a cold one}. Experiment with their variety of mezze. We tried the turmeric chicken with sumac and lime which came on skewers on a pretty place accompanied by some more pita bread, a heap of hummus and some salad. We’re curious about trying the tuna tartare and the fried Halloumi cheese.

Looking for something to beat the chill? Opt for their grills or a wholesome portion of Tagine. There’s also flaky flatbread to supplement the meat and veggies. Don’t forget to end with the apple pie rolls – these are essentially like sweet spring rolls serves with ice cream and a tonne of nuts.

PS: They don’t have a liquor license yet but they’re working on it. Meanwhile, just enjoy their breezy open balcony with some meaty bites.

So, We're Saying...

We love how Mosaic’s done up. The indoors comprise mosaic {surprise!} floors, stained-glass looking light shades and simple tables and chairs whereas the small outdoor area is more for lounging on a low couch or bar stools overlooking the market. We’d bookmark this for lunch with the bestie.
