Run by Avantica Hemanth with support from her mom, Poornima Hemanth, LIMN Designs is an online stationery store that does the cutest notepads and memos. Also, for all their stationery, they import high-quality paper from Vienna, so you can write, draw and even paint on them using watercolours without the water seeping through. The Chennai-based brand LIMN was started two years ago out of Avantica’s love for stationery and lettering. She quit her job at an advertising agency and soon, LIMN became her full-time project. While Avantica has a degree in Visual Communication, her mom’s a natural (we’re told she does amazing murals too) and with both their skills combined, an adorable stationery brand was formed.
The duo creates the designs mostly using watercolours or acrylics, and then, they’re scanned and digitalised. Some of their designs are also illustrated. We love that each design has a cute, doodled aesthetic, which is why their Universe Doodle Book (INR 250) and the Vintage Recipe Cards (INR 160 for 6) are some of our favourites. Plus, we have a soft corner for to-do lists because they make our life look sorted (on paper at least) and LIMN’s notepads are giving us more reasons to actually get down to list our daily tasks (which is half the work done, right?)
