Movies, Food & Crafts At The First-Ever BRICS Film Festival

Rene posted on 1st September

What Is It?

A five-day film festival at Siri Fort Auditorium {Sept 2-6} that will seek to cement ties with the BRICS nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – by the way of movie watching, food, music, local crafts and cultural programmes.

Who Is It For?

Everyone who complains about Delhi being a boring city. Cinema, cuisine and culture – if any of these excite you, you can start making plans before others beat you to it. Also, those who comply with the Lennon school of thought ‘Imagine all the people living life in peace’.

Why Should I Go For It?

There’s so much happening and the entry is free {there, we said it}. You’ll get a chance to sample different cuisines, watch the BRICS’ nation’s best cinematic works and also browse through craft fairs. And honestly, we wouldn't miss the chance to experience all this under one roof.

Anything Else?

The festival will showcase the works of four filmmakers, one from each nation, where an international jury will award the best performances. This means, in all, there will be 20 movies to enjoy!

When: Sept 2 - 6

Where: Siri Fort Auditorium, Khel Gaon Road

Timings: 10.30am - 10.30pm
