What Is It?

Looking for a Sunday evening concert that doesn't just enthral you with great music, but also warms the cockles of your heart? The ReSound Concert: Ship of Dreams is where you need to be.

This is Music Basti’s third annual concert, which features 300 at-risk children performing original songs about their dreams.

Music Basti, founded in 2008, connects at-risk children, youth and artists, with the aim to inspire growth and a sense of community through music. It has received several awards and accolades, and has even been featured on KBC!

Who Is It For?

Music lovers, and those who enjoy original music and young talent. Do support and celebrate the students’ completion of the one-year ReSound programme, which enables them to write and perform their own original songs that tell the stories of their communities.

Why Should I Go For It?

For the kids, their hopes, and dreams expressed through music. These children have written and composed the songs as a team, and in the process, learned to solve problems creatively and resolve group conflict through empathy and collaboration.

Anything Else?

You could fund their campaign here and earn yourself not just fuzzies, but also goodies. For example, a donation of INR 1,000 gets you a digital copy of the ReSound 2016 concert music album and a Music Basti postcard with a note from the young performers thanking you for your contribution!

#LBBTip

Entry to the concert is free. Whether or not you can attend the concert, do go through their YouTube stream, for some beautiful music, and some cute, some chilling stories of the struggles these children and their instructors go through.
