Founded and run by renowned Bharatnatyam dancer Geeta Chandran, Natya Vriksha lays equal emphasis on both practice and the theory behind the dance form, so if you suddenly see the dancers whip out paper and pens, don’t be surprised. The classes are taken by Chandran herself, or by someone trained by her. There are no segregated levels as such. She takes a beginner’s batch every year and the students learn new things as and when she thinks they’re ready.
