Coast Cafe

Costa

We love when food favourites throw alcohol in the mix. It's almost as if you didn't know how much you were missing a stellar Martini, until you're given the option of drinking one. Coast Cafe got that memo, and just added a lovely bunch of cocktails to their offerings. Besides the cocktail regular - Bloody Marys, Mojitos, Old Fashioned, Sangria and Lime and Tonic - the Fresh Martinis and Margaritas got a flavour infusion. As for the Martinis, choose between the Cucumber & Basil, Orange & Basil, Bitter Orange and Basil, and most interesting, the Espresso {expresso shot, house chocolate sauce and vodka}. The Margaritas aren't far behind, with the introduction of the Bora Bora {red berry puree, cointreau and tequila}, the Ipanema {passion fruit syrup, fresh orange, and tequila}, and the Chowpatty {aam panna and tequila}. Best news, if you're Sunday lunching, start a coastal meal with glasses of Mimosas, the Ginger-Pom {house ginger pomegranate reduction, Chandon, and a splash of orange}, or the Spiced Citrus Sparkler {house spice and lemon reduction, Chandon, and a splash of orange}.

Pizza Express

Pizza

If you're a nineties, early millennium kid, much of your after school recreational activities had Ansal Plazza as the starring venue. Let us guess, Funky Orbit, followed by either Oriental Bloom, Geoffreys, or Pizza Express. If you're still of the belief that not much has been able to replace Pizza Express' delectable dough balls, you'll be pleased to know they're back in the game. They just opened shop in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, this time choosing a mall more frequented. If you're not a nineties kid, and only started going out post Select Citywalk era, one more Pizza parlor is always great news! PS: Try the Doughballs.

Zu Tisch

Zu

Opened during Oktoberfest, but here to stay much after, Zu Tisch is an authentic German joint, serving everything from schnitzels to sausages, and goes without saying, a whole lot of beer. Set over two floors, the almost industrial interiors set in tones of grey and more neutral palettes set the tone for a relaxed, more laid back experience. Once you're settled in, {and you'll need to be for what's coming}, lo and behold an eleven page menu featuring platters, pastas, burgers, skewers, falafel, chowder, salads, and pizzas. Although more European in its curation, a lot of the menu takes heavily from German flavours and specialities, but has fail safe options for those who don't know their bratwurst from their Sauerkraut. Recommended for a casual night out over beer and a whole lot of food.
