Ikka Dukka

Browsing through Ikka Dukka’s online store is like visiting your favourite quaint shop, where if you don’t bag what you want, you’ll be stuck dreaming about it for days. Go through their home decor, and women’s & men’s fashion and lifestyle; whatever you do, don’t miss the newly launched line of kid’s toys {Grandma The Wolf is ironically ideal for cuddling!}. Started by a girl from Lucknow, and one from Ireland, the store boasts unique designers from the world over; designers that are big enough to be great, and small enough to be affordable {such as French jewellery brand, Nocturne.} Bridging the gap between mass-produced mainstream and one-off pieces with hefty price tags, Ikka Dukka stays true to its name with hard to come by pieces. And easy to manage ticket sizes.

Scented scarves and saris by Deepika Govind at Neel Sutra, The Oberoi Gurgaon Retail Arcade

For those of us who could never pin point exactly why ladies in saris were always wrapped in an aura that smelled amazing, we’ll get our chance too. Designer Deepika Govind infuses subtle scents into her beautiful saris and scarves made of silk — the fragrance is infused at the stage the yarn is made, which means it is literally embedded into the material. The silk is entirely chemical free, giving you one more reason to stay snug in your stole. We wondered what sort of fragrances were available, since predetermined scents can throw the best of us off. We needn’t have worried; they just smell of loveliness. You couldn’t be less than elegant even if you tried. Well, for 25-30 washes anyway.

Price: Aroma stoles at INR 5040; aroma saris at INR 22,500
