We have to admit, our interaction with Amazon has been restricted to the Kindle, and topping it up. What to do, there’s always such a sea of products. Although, on further probing and with some help from trolling on Instagram, we’ve discovered the fashion labels Amazon’s India leg is now hosting, and we want to spread the joy.

Amazon.in has always housed women’s apparel and accessories, but unless you’re into kurtis and floral salwars, you probably haven’t been very lucky. They got the memo and have upped their game. For the Indian clothes seekers, Bhaavya Bhatnagar {LBB’s favourite} has designed an exclusive collection of Indian wear, featuring salwar sets ranging from straight kurtas and palazzos to Anarkalis. It’s a limited collection, but definitely worth checking out. There’s also Satya Paul saris, with their famous prints, mostly in georgettes and crepes. As for non-Indian apparel, Amazon Exclusive presents The Closet Label, styled by Malaika Arora Khan, and The Trunk Label by Bipasha Basu. So in case you’ve been wondering where they’ve been, now you know.

The Trunk Label features scarves and jewellery, and nothing you’ve ever seen on Bips. Think statement head pieces, choker necklaces, and headbands, in addition to a whole bunch of scarves. Bips just announced her collab, so our guess is they’re still updating her collection. As for Malaika’s styling expertise, it’s actually a simple, casual and every day wear collection of blouses, tops, knit tops, formal shirts, knit maxi skirts, and a mix of casual sundresses and more formal LBDs. She’s paid special attention to swim wear and night wear, catering to the Indian body type. We’re especially digging her collection of shorts, and we’re thinking she styled them with her body in mind. Now if only we were all dressing the same types of bodies.

Notes in Our Little Black Book |

The Trunk Label by Bipasha Basu and The Closet Label styled by Malaika Arora Khan have tied up with Amazon India to retail their clothing lines. As for Indian wear, log on for Bhaavya Bhatnagar’s exclusive collection for Amazon, and if you’re looking to buy Satya Paul saris.
