Brown Box opens a Patisserie |

brown-box-bakery
We love a great home baker. And when a home baker ups the ante and opens her own patisserie? That's plus ten points, easy. Priyanka Tiwari of the The Brown Box {an artisan bakery kitchen}, specializes in the finest {tried and tested} selection of desserts, homemade cakes and chocolates, and customized cakes. She also caters to special occasions and wedding, all desserts made with great detail, the finest ingredients, and a whole lot of love. We're all for being prompt and placing orders, but there's comfort in knowing if we missed that boat, we can now just hop over to her new bakery and make a selection instead. The Brown Box Patisserie opened its doors {and ovens} on the 28th of June, and is now officially in business!

Sancha Tea Boutique |

India's favourite drink just turned couture. Re-introducing the Sancha Tea Boutique - a specially curated tea tasting room and store. The store is hooked up, and serves every conceivable type of blend, across four different sections. Move over Twinnings Green Tea Bags, there's now Sancha's Green Tea Wall Bay, housing one too many varieties of healthy green teas. For detoxers and green tea loyalists alike, Sancha retails a variety of green tea blends {with added flowers, spices and healthy herbs}, but their star attraction is the Sancha Yoga Green Tea. The Antidoxiant EGCG rich White Wall Bay serves up white teas from Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri with its blends of white tea with wild rose, lemon grass and mint. The Chinese Tea Section houses Wuyi Rock Oolongs, Jasmine Pearls and Jasmine White tea. The Darjeeling tea {the nation's pride and joy} section, has a host of tea sommeliers on hand to explain the complexities of flavours within Darjeeling blends, so you really know what you're tasting. What tea boutique is complete without a good ol' cup of Masala Indian Chai. Keeping every tea palette in mind, Sancha has a thoroughly detailed {read: hand painted Indian kettles and auto rickshaws} corner, serving Masala Chai, Maharani Chai and Vanilla and Cardamom Blends. For those who take their tea seriously, Sancha has an entire section dedicated to tea accessories; tea timers, infusers, cups and teapots. Tea Tasting is a huge focus and must do over at Sancha, and Madhatter or not, we say it's time for a little tea party!

Pita Pit's New Health Cafe |

Oh hey foodies, here's another treat for you. Pita Pit, known for its made-to-order pita sandwiches {and Cyber Hub presence}, just opened a brand new health cafe. With a brand new menu, and focus on healthy options, you can expect a line-up of gourmet sandwiches and salads. Choose from a wide range of fresh vegetables, meats, spreads, and cheeses, complimented by their sauces, all under one Pita Pocket. They have healthy equivalents of most sandwiches, and if that's still too many carbs, there's always the Pita Pit fork-style salad. The new menu also features pita toasties, pita chips and straying a smidge from that health plug-in, new desserts. To wash it all down - freshly pressed juices, green teas and coffees.
