Gourmet it Up launches in New Delhi

Gourmet it up, a culinary web portal, is all set to extend to New Delhi. Gourmet it up aims to elevate dining experiences; it creates unique and exclusive menu options for its members, from off-menu meals and wine pairings, to mixology and master classes. It started as a response to evolving culinary tastes and preferences. How does it work, you ask? It’s an easy, four step process. Log on here, sign up {membership is free} and make a reservation through them, with one of their partnering restaurants. Arrive at the restaurant at the scheduled time and give your name, and the restaurant will have a table ready for you, with a special GourmetitUp curated menu, after which you pay at the restaurant directly. The more restaurants you visit via them, the more Gourmet points you’re entitled to, which you can then redeem for rewards!

Imperfecto opens in Cyber Hub

Hauz Khas’ golden boy Imperfecto finally opens its doors in Cyber Hub, after months of just ‘coming soon’ signage. They’ve outdone their Hauz Khas cousin space wise, and boast a giant outdoor area, an indoor dining room, bar seating, and what we can only assume turns into a dance floor. The decor is kitschy and colourful, with scooter seats doubling as bar stools, deliberately mismatched furniture painted all colours of the rainbow, a terrace garden, and interesting installations. The menu remains more or less the same, with a mix of Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean and Continental cuisine. They’re also serving alcohol, with a side of very loud commercial music.

Meet Georgia Dakota, our New Baker Crush

Started by baker Michelle from the American Mid-west. She started small with her orders, but has steadily gained both momentum and popularity. She bakes and retails out of her home {and heart}; artisan baked and crafted goods, which are wholesome, natural, carefully prepared in small batches and never contain any artificial ingredients. To give you a sneak peek, her biggest sellers are her Rocky Mountain Granola {healthy, wheat free, oat based granola with flax, honey, walnuts, sesame and pumpkin seeds, and spiced with cinnamon}, a Cinnamon Swirl Banana Cake {a yoghurt based cake sprinkled with walnuts}, and the Grandma’s Chocolate Zucchini Cake {a chocolate flavoured dessert, complimented by honey, walnuts, whole wheat flour, zucchini and no refined sugar}. Her prices start at INR 650.
